Leadership Corner

In April, we celebrated women’s’ empowerment by displaying informative posters about important women in history. May is Asian/Pacific Islander month where we will celebrate and inform students about their accomplishments and culture.

We also have many upcoming events, including:

  • May 1- Teazzert fundraiser from 3-10 p.m. A flyer is required, so please pick one up off of school Loop or around school.
  • May 1- Earth day at lunch in the Circle.
  • May 1- French Club is selling macaroons after school from 3:20-4 p.m. in the Circle and the Emma Hood Swim Center parking lot. They will be $1 each.
  • May 6- Freshman Class is having a fundraiser at Red Onion from 5-10 p.m. Flyer is required, available on  School Loop or around school.
  • May 15- BSU is having a co-ed basketball fundraiser in the New Gym with seniors from Encinal High and Alameda High. It is from 5-7 p.m. and admission is $2.
  • May 15- BuildOn in having an acoustic night in the Lincoln Middle School Amphitheater from 6-10 p.m.
  • May 16- Senior Ball
  • May 18-20- This week is Spiritopia where we’ll have a spirit week and on Friday, May 22 there will be a food faire filled with delicious food, Henna artists, caricature artists and balloon artists.
  • May 22- Powder Puff at Thompson Field from 5-8 p.m.
  • May 29- Senior Talent Show assembly.
  • May 30- Freshman and Sophomore Classes are teaming up for a car wash fundraiser at Follow Charlie’s Car Wash. Tickets are $10.
AHS Journalism
The Oak Leaf, a product of the journalism class, is a vehicle of student expression and a public forum for the Alameda High School community.
