“My sister has always been kind of more like my mom to me, because my parents are usually out of town. She has taught me everything I know about periods and boys and school, and she always pushes me. We are not super close but she always is there when I need to talk. On my birthday she jumped on my bed and she said, ‘Happy Birthday,’ and she kind of started crying because she sees me as a baby, and she was like, ‘you’re not a baby!’”
